Having pre-ordered tickets at the activities saved much time and frustration. Were I to recommend a Colette tour to a friend, I would suggest they find one with a slower pace, both in terms of the changes in hotels and the speed of the walking tours. We'll take a traffic-free walking tour that includes Toledo's magnificent cathedral, the historic Tránsito Synagogue, and El Greco's The Burial of the Count of Orgaz in Santo Tomé Chapel.

Our guide was so knowledgeable about every place we went. I was amazed by how much we were able to experience with a casual pace. This was more of a religious tour. Other restrictions may apply. We got to visit the Picasso a few days prior in Barcelona, so we already learned about some of his history. Great variety of cultural sites and local color!

I felt like I had stepped back into to the 1500s. Monica, our local guide, was so knowledgeable and passionate about the Basilica that she inspired us to take in every soaring spire, stained glass window, and ornate statue inside and out. Hotel Colon was excellent--definitely a high point especially since we extended for 3 days in Barcelona. Did everything well, from travel accommodations, to first class hotels, to tour destinations, and excellent tour guides.

The local and museum guides were also great.

Unfortunately I did not get to say goodbye in person since my kids woke me up during the middle of the night telling me to get home STAT. Photos don't capture the experience of being in the space, and it was well worth the effort. Our Tour Manager Monica Rey was excellent as well as local guides and motor coach driver.

Spain is a beautiful country. Amazing experience with the guide, tours, guides in each city, hotels and food. We did not have access to the interiors of the two most visited places in Spain, the Alhambra and La Sagrada Familia.

I had to pay $135.00 plus taxes extra for a trip that was over $5000.00. The CPM date, which is still December 11, 1996, is now not even 5 percent likely to occur. The tour gave us the opportunity to see the cities with very knowledgeable and engaging guides, while allowing us time to explore on our own. The tour was well organized and covered the places we wanted to see.

He prepped us with historical context during our break at the cafe, then went deeper in the gallery outside the Guernica. I was pleasantly surprised to find that both cities were pedestrian friendly with many streets designed for walking with no or little traffic. We spent additional time before the tour in Barcelona which allowed us to do a private one day wine tour in the Penedes region. Our tour was excellent. Most places were crowded with tourists, although May is considered pre-season; Barcelona was particularly overrun because several cruise ships were in port.
