The Selection Committee of the Festival de Cannes is exclusively in charge of the following sections of the Official Selection: Competition, Out of Competition and Un Certain Regard. Resolution: .mp[e]g / .avi / .vob / .mov / .mp4 / .m4v  Only films that meet the following conditions may be submitted for consideration by the Official Selection: In order to be selected in the Short Films competition, your film must be under 15 minutes long (including credits). Please also make sure you upload a progressive (deinterlaced) video file, without any horizontal lines across the image (an interlacing artefact known as "combing"), particularly visible during sequences with rapid movement. How to upload your film? Beta (SP or Digital): 150 euros all taxes included. The Festival de Cannes does not accept films with a duration of between 15 and 60 minutes. You must supply us either with a DCP (Digital Cinema Package) 2K or 4K, a JPEG 2000 file or a 35mm print. Apart from traditional professional software such as Final Cut or Premiere, we recommend the user-friendly freeware programmes HandBrake & MPEG Streamclip. The return transport costs are borne by the producer or by the return consignee for the print. Every feature film invited to be in competition must be released theatrically in France in accordance with French legislation pertaining to media chronology rules.
