My husband and I just started watching the BBC Series provided by Netflix. With a growing family I never got to read this 3rd book. While the moral antidotes are refreshing, this would be a caution for children. I am so satisfied now having read the 3 books.

I would recommend them for anyone who loves animals and animal stories.

Of the 4 books that I have read in the All Creatures series, this one was by far the weakest. If you miss Maeve Binchy you'll love this. Most of the stories - like the birth of his daughter - took place just after the end of WW2. This is the Kindle edition, which I have not read yet, so I can't vouch for the quality of the reproduction. They are full of humor, with occasional pathos. Recommended!
