The menu consists of signature hamburgers, build-your-own, hot dogs, salads, sides, and shakes. It’s just frustrating to spend money on an evening out like that when there are so many good places to dine. We have all probably had dill and bread & butter pickles, but have you ever had sweet and spicy pickles or atomic pickles? Make sure they are paper thin! From then on, we always made it a point to visit Twisted Root whenever we were in the Dallas area. We’ve considered twisted root in general and the Roanoke location in particular as favorites for a number of years. To order, stand in line, look up at the menus and order at the register. We told the manager and one guy came out swept a few napkins up and was done. We have eaten at Twisted Root in Plano (no longer in existence) and Waco. As the last review said RIP Twisted a Root - it was fun while it lasted.

The patio seats 70 people under a strand of decorative bar lights. We made a good choice to try it while in town visiting family. The Decor consists of Lubbock and Texas Tech guitar cases, signs, license plates, and posters along with the state of Texas made of glass bottles. The news of a location opening up in Lubbock was just about the most exciting thing we had heard all year. The overflowing trash cans and lack of air conditioning should have turned us away when we walked in but we insisted on staying.
