Great service, great food. Last night was simply disappointing. Sepia is a mid-sized, upscale restaurant run by owner Emmanuel Nony and Executive Chef Andrew Zimmerman located in the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois (United States). Thanks for a wonderful and safe evening.
Told all my fiends to visit when in Chicago! It was the best part of our vacation! Perhaps it was just an off night. If your timing is right, Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Downtown/River North. The plating, while lovely and elegant, is also fairly simple, in that there were no foams, cryo-technics, no let’s make this look like something else - just beautiful plating, and the dinnerware was all attractive too. For a Michelin-starred restaurant, the cost was quite good. We rank these hotels, restaurants, and attractions by balancing reviews from our members with how close they are to this location. It made me sad for the waitstaff. And the person who had the vegetarian dish (celery root roulade, chestnut soubise with a black trumpet mushroom) thought the dish was tasteless. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to welcoming you back in again soon!
I had great experience in Sepia restaurant. The entree for both of us was not very good, and for one of us it was unacceptable. The food was delicious. Sepia. Our table was a nice spacious two-top, and I looked over the wine list, while we decided on our meal. Food was great and everyone was friendly and accommodating. Best, I'll have to go there again once we've passed COVID. The service is good and warm.More, Jason, Attention to detail runs throughout Sepia -- both in the room and on the plate -- from the custom Art Nouveau tile floor to the hand-crafted millwork and the vintage stemware.
